HIGH POINT Metropolitan District

 
General Information: Created in November 2004, the High Point Metropolitan District (the District) was created to fund the construction of the Harvest Meadows neighborhood infrastructure consisting primarily of the streets, sidewalks, storm drainage system, playground and open space landscaping.  In 2006, the District issued bonds totaling $1.65 million and borrowed approximately $0.70 million from the developer (SW Begold, LLC) to fund the construction of this infrastructure.
 
District Oversight: The District's five-member board meets regularly to review and approve the operations and finances of District.  Board members serve 4-year terms and are elected in even-numbered years
 
Property Tax Usage: Property taxes are used to fund the District's periodic debt payments and the District's general and administrative costs.
